As this third installment of the Cubi series opens, Daniel is still trying to wrap his head around the latest revelation to turn his life upside down. Not only is he becoming an incubus, he is destined to become the king of the North American cubi. He takes the role seriously, and displays an aptitude that surprises the Grand Lords and Ladies that rule the houses. However, he is still a young man not yet 20 years old, raised in the human world, and his life experience hasn't prepared him for a loving relationship, particularly a cubi one. But it's the outside, human, world that gives Daniel and all the other cubi their biggest challenge, one that threatens to destroy their culture.Few new characters are introduced in this installment. Much of the story deals with the complex relationship forming between Daniel, Seldon and the house lord Caledon. While the young prince's inexperience is the main obstacle, there's actually a lack of communication on all fronts that makes things worse for everyone.
This would seem to be the pivotal installment in the series. The key characters are all in place and well defined, and by the end of this book they face a major challenge that will probably prove the main theme of the next book. While the background of the next book(s) may be changing, one thing that is proving quite remarkable about this series is the consistent writing, which mixes highly erotic scenes with a strong story line.
If it weren't for the erotic content, this could almost be a young adult coming-of-age series. We see Daniel maturing with each new installment, from something of a spoiled kid in the first to a somewhat wiser young man desperately trying to be someone deserving of the power that seems to be thrust upon him. At this point, it's his flaws that make him believable.

The third book from an amazing serie which is getting better and better...I really want to make a shout out. And I utterly do my best not to give away the story.
It's an experience you should feel yourself.
After they moved in their new bigger home they have to find staff members.
Daniel and Seldon admit to each other that they are jealous when others are involved.
The both respect each other deeply and their love is stronger then any other.
Daniel is growing and is unbelievable sweet, understanding and righteous.
He has so much to learn about everything in this new world for him and he is doing so well.
The story is really REALLY wonderful put together. All the layers are so right and the more you know the more you will love this story. All fit well and the story is expanding enormously. In such a way you just want to know every little detail ...I think it's somewhat addictive )
Daniel's connection to all his people is getting stronger and stronger. He is highly appreciated
and accepted. The empowering of Marcadon is huge, intense and very sexy and Seldon is so proud. It was a very good part.
The hierarchy works so well, their rank and mood is recognizable by the color of their eyes, everyone knows exactly what to expect. It's comforting and reassuring.
The sex is hot as hell and never disappointing and there is a lot of it in this story. It's their life, their being, without it they will not live. And Caledon plays a big part in this. When Daniel and Seldon have their first 'fight' the feelings are all over, it hurt and it was heartbreaking.
Daniel is still learning the difference between all the feelings, the feeding, their hot s e x...their being together. Seldon and Caledon are still learning and seeing new things with Daniel.
Their sandwiches are amazingly put down!
Unexpected matters are developing and it goes deep!! It's a complicated world with danger and trouble for the coming time. Daniel, Seldon and Caledon a sort of trinity, working on the security for the future of their blood.
Amazing detailed read, the pace is great. It's extensive and the development is really well done.
It has so much in it. I laughed, I had tears, my stomach fluttered, my heart run faster and I had goosebumps. It was captivating, funny, endearing, steady, clarifying and hot as hell.
So no doubt about this serie.... it's a #mustread
I am loving this series! It is great to see Daniel really mature and take on the Cubi world. The writing is great and I loved seeing the relationship between Seldon, Daniel and Caledon really get dissected. I am excited to keep reading!
OMG...OMG...OMG...
This must be one of the best series out there. I love all the characters and how well Meraki developed them. I'll tell you this It's hot steamy and has a dash of humor here and there. At some point I laughed so I cried. No can't spoil the fun here. There are also moments where I would love to jump into the story and slap a few heads around..hehe and hug a few others.
Now I need book 4 ASAP..cuz Meraki left me hanging here with tons of questions.

I was so happy to pick up where the last book left off. I love how much Daniel has grown from having a big ego and thinking he was good at everything to becoming a responsible young man who has manners and respect for others. There have been a lot of changes in Daniel's life recently. Just when you think things have finally settled for Daniel, another monkey wrench is thrown at him, but he handles it very well. Especially with Seldon and Caledon by his side to help him and love him.
I cannot wait for the next book!! I wish I could give this book more than 5 starts because it definitely deserves more. The author does an amazing job explaining how the cubi world works. I love learning the history and biology of the cubi race. It's all very interesting and keeps me glued to the story.
Overall, I love this series. Actually, I love anything by this author, I've read all his books. This series is amazing. I found myself rereading books 1&2 as I waited for book 3 and I will continue to reread them as I wait for book 4. I highly recommend this series to everyone!!!
